After my company’s CSR project on the 15th of October, I had to attend a wedding later that night. It was with an ex-ex colleague from XYZ Bank, who we refer to as “Cha Jie”. I call her ex-ex and not just ex because we have BOTH moved on from XYZ Bank.
She is now with an oil company (ahem, think you can guess lah) and I’m now with UVW Bank. However, I think she invited more people from XYZ Bank than from her new company.
Moi!
Here comes the bride~~
Close-up!
Actually, I was quite surprised that she invited me, cos I’m from the application (software) side, while she is from the systems (hardware) side. However, we had a few projects together, from when we set up DR sites, to testing sites, to even playing futsal together last time. Actually, I was way more sociable last time. =p I’m happy to be one of the few people from application side that she had invited. *touched*
I also took Tron along, just because I’m a sticky girlfriend like that. ;P Very happy that Cha Jie said, “Welcome welcome to come to my wedding”… so here are some more pictures from the night :
Bryan & See
Foo & Bryan.
Sadly, a very blurry picture of Tron & Kent.

Because See went downstairs to watch the Man U match, we help him take food…. including the fish head!! Hahahaha…. (the body all bones only)

I know lah, got a lot of food pictures as if this is some food critic blog, but actually, I do find it interesting what restaurants serve during wedding dinner, ok. =p Actually, it also helps me to count whether they really give me “10 course dinner”. Muwahhhaa…
We really had more than enough to eat that night because 3 people from our table didn’t show up, and then Mr SeeSee ran off with Joe & John to watch Man U footie match downstairs. -__-” I was also afraid that it would be awkwardness at my table, cos really all the people from system side (we at application support used to call them ‘the people downstairs, as if they are in fiery pits of hell like that, lololol… ok pls don’t hate me, ‘people downstairs’!). But in fact, I find the seating position was quite fun! Had a lot of funny people at our table, and jokes were just flowing along. =)
Really wish Cha Jie and hubby all the best in their marriage! =)
* * * * * * *Okie, since this entry is a bit short, let me show you my “Deepali” celebration, which is actually me going to 1 Utama with Tron! Hahaaha. The most eventful part about going to 1U was the NEW “Taiwanese tea” store called Come Buy. Seriously, the name is sooooo cheesy to the max, I didn’t feel like lining up to get it. Thankfully, Tron (being stingy and thirsty) pointed out that there was a buy 1 free 1 deal. He had some rose drink with basil seeds, while I had “longan dew”. Eh, the drinks are quite nice & refreshing! And super worth it with the discount lor. Let me show you their menu…
And the line they inspired! Craziness!

List of their top 10 drinks here… ~
That night, went for my boss’s son’s full moon also… very paiseh cos ate so much and only saw his son from afar. Quite shy to go poke & prod the baby when the grandmother is cradling him peacefully, right? But a really fun gathering it was… glad that I went!
Glad that the boss invited me!

One of my favorite-st users everrrrrr… none other than Mr Soo from Treasury Control Processing. Any project done with him will be a joy because he knows what he wants and he can even give suggestions how to do it! Also, he’s very funny and nice and understanding user. The best.
Mangosteens on my desk in the morning. How often does your boss put fresh fruits on YOUR table. Sigh…
Raymond said that my new make-up so glamourous. Well… I knew I would be taking lots of photos for the day mar…
Breakfast in the morning… this is kinda the cleanest my desk has ever been… but it’s gonna get even more sparse…
Last time imma work in these cubes…
Last time Imma work with these two… the last seven years were a blast, right? We’ve been through so much together. AS400 Cobol, Java, JSP, Visual Basic…
One last box to cart home. And that strange thing at the bottom is actually an ant trap that I generously donated to my office. The pest control really sucks!
First person I took photo with was Lim because he was working half day that day…
Photo with the calendar from year 2004… the first calendar I ever got from XYZ Bank! This is like, ancient history for me.
Last time Imma look at this monitor with all the funky stickers. Not like I can personalise my current laptop in the same manner.
My pedestal has never been cleaner…
Mr Ho.. who likes to tell Raymond that he’s very lucky that he (Raymond) gets to go out for lunch with a “leng lui” everyday (ah-hem, that’s me…)
Me with Barbara and R, two UAT testers who we frequently worked with. They came over to pass me a farewell present.
This whole team came downstairs to have a “tea date” with me… so touched. It’s Jonathan, Mandy, AiChee, Daniel & Sunny. So sad… where to get colleagues like this…
Pauline and I. Am so happy for her that she is now a manager…
Hema and myself… once upon a time she sat next to me…
Justin and I… dunno why he is so nice to me.. I only helped him out occasionally in JSP and Java stuff… and usually only cos Sifoo Wong asked me to cos I think Justin scared to ask me. Hahaha! Anyway, a really smart guy… and I’m glad that our offshore project is safe in his hands..
MY boss and I. I won’t lie… I teared up when I saw this picture… because all the memories came flooding back. All I can say is… I wish I was a better employee at times.
