Completely Random Bits Of My Life

Hong Kong 2011 *LOVE* Day 4 October 21, 2011

Ok, rapidly approaching the end of my trip, and there’s not much pictures to show for it, really. When on holiday in Tron, he loves shopping malls and shopping. He doesn’t like anything to do with touristy stuff. It’s ok with me as I already went, but I really wonder what is the attraction with seeing another country’s shopping mall? For me, if I were to do HK again, it would be – more food (esp around Central! So much food stuff there!), getting a chance to ride on the tram, LAN KWAI FONG, more Hui Lao Shan and definitely more shopping, but only around Mongkok area. I won’t bother with those places like Harbour City anymore.

Anyway, on the 4th day in HK, I decided to take Tron to the extremely well-known Fu Sing Sharksfin Seafood restaurant.. or whatever you call it. I just refer to it as “Fu Sing”. I forgot if it’s a Michelin star restaurant or whatever awarded restaurant, but basically it’s expensive but a lot of people say it’s worth it. Lazy to find another hole-in-the-wall dim sum place, so this would do. Lol! Later when we came back to Malaysia, Tron’s mom asked him if people in HK were rude to us, yadda yadda, Tron said we got such great service everywhere. Tron’s mom said that his sister who went to HK said that the waiter scolded them because they couldn’t order the dim sum properly (cannot read chinese), and Tron said that that’s lies. People in HK help you read the menu. Wtf! Cos I took him to expensive restaurant la, of course service different from a coffeeshop dim sum restaurant. -___-”

By the way, not boasting about $$ ok, just that if you happen to know Tron, you should really get the “whole story” from him sometimes. ;p

I believe the 2nd floor and 1st floor is decorated in the same way.

Hello!

This is our appetizer… some really funny looking fried anchovies. The anchovies so curly wan?

The lamp… hahaha.

Starting to get hungry + antsy.

Arrived at Fu Sing at 11am, and once again I was scolding Tron all the way there because he didn’t want to wake up early. But turns out ALL FOR THE BETTER because Fu Sing only opens around that time. Lol! Now I remember, when I went to HK with my colleagues last time, they were TOO early for Fu Sing and we wound up walking aimlessly around the area. Which btw, doesn’t have much stuff to see. The 1st floor are for tables with reservations, and at first Tron started to nag already, “Nah nah, you see… never make reservations..” but never fear — cos there is a 2nd floor and it’s pretty empty. -___-” So we got a really nice table and nice waiters & waitresses to help us. Yup, we can’t read chinese either, so we just called the manager over and asked them what is the recommended and “chut meng” (star dishes)  stuff in Fu Sing. I had read some online reviews before, so generally just said yes to what sounded familiar. This is what we ate:

Fried prawn fritter wrapped in chee cheong fun. A twist on the usual yau char kwai wrapped with chee cheong fun.

Fried radish cake. You know it’s delicious when people from other tables ask the waiter what YOU are having.

Har gow, but excellently done by Fu Sing. Though a bit on the puny side.

Buttery, warm, egg tarts! So hard to resist that Tron was stealing away a tart when I tried to take a photo.

Siew mai – awesome.

This one is an RM10 per piece siu loong pau which contained crab roe and dunno what other goodies inside. Indeed the soup inside the siu loong pau tasted better than usual, and you can really see and taste the crab roe. But it is so small! Two bites and it’s gone. *sob* When I complained about the size to Tron, he said that kou kup people only need to taste things once. Lol!

Some lo mai fun which was quite forgettable. Regret ordering this as it’s also super filling.

The most awesome bbq buns you will ever taste! I’m not even a fan of bbq buns, but this is really something else. If you come to Fu Sing, this is a MUST ORDER and a bestseller at this place. Hahahha.

We saw another couple eating this, so we also ordered our own siu yuk & char siu. Personally think the char siu not bad, but don’t order the siu yuk as it’s too fatty.

If I go to HK with my parents, I would definitely bring them here, regardless of the price. Eating is a moment to be enjoyed, at a slow pace. Especially when it’s early morning dim sum. No point to rush down the food, you can’t even take your time to savor it. What’s the point? Though the restaurant got more crowded as time went by, the waiters never made us feel as if we should run along now. They were still as attentive. Lovely place to eat at. Cost? Expect to pay about RM100 per person. But keep in mind that we did go a little bit overboard… you’d probably not be eating as much as us… ;p

After lunch, we spent our time at Times Square (yes, another shopping mall) because it was the nearest “fun thing” to do. Again, nothing much in Times Square, we ended up going back to our favorite Langham Plaza and Lui Yan Kai. Hahaha! Oh, and I helped Tron like mad find out where the Mongkok Computer Center is, but he wound up buying nothing. He kept saying that the Mongkok Computer Center can’t hold a candle to Lowyat, though we were intrigued by this thing they were selling called the “Ipad Killer”. Hahahha!

At Lui Yan Kai, we mainly bought souvenirs. What we loved buying were :
+ T-shirts (About RM10 per shirt, good for souvenirs and also for self)
+ fake LeSportsac bag called “ProSports”. It’s really big and roomy and the aunty will give you free pouches as well. ^_^
+ bag organisers (those things used to store your stuff properly if you’re carrying a big bag… so that you can keep things organised?)
The rest I forgot already… =p

By the time it was night, I was feeling like… quite a pity that we didn’t eat much “authentic HK food”, so I forced Tron to go out to Jordan with me to try the Australia Dairy Co. I remembered it being awesome, so excitedly went to take the MTR…

However, the food this time round …. really is not as what I remembered it to be. We were actually still super full from Fu Sing (yes, until dinner time!!), and yet we over-ordered. Each of us had a coffee-tea mix, steamed milk and food.

So nice, they gave us english menus to peruse. Hahaha.

Steamed milk and tea…

Tron’s food…

My macaroni and ham. It tasted much better after I put in, like, 1 tablespoon of pepper! Otherwise it’s tasteless!

Byeeeee Jordan. Don’t feel like visiting you again, but maybe Yee Shun is better?

Really regret that I chose to come here. Food ain’t cheap either… like RM60!!! Zomg! Should have gone to Yee Shun, I heard they have more variety of steamed milk there. Or just gone to Tsui Wah, which is just opposite our building. Sigh…

Spent the night packing our luggage, and I was so worried that I would be over the limit as I had so many SHOWER GELS and stuff. HAHAHA. Terrible. That, and I bought this one huge box of pineapple cakes for my parents, and it comes in a bright yellow box. The box itself also costs $$, so I didn’t want to leave the box behind. Lol! Ended up, my luggage was only 15.5kg… I so regret buying up to 20kg worth of luggage space. ZZZ. At least Tron utilised his luggage weight properly. I think his was 19kg…

Before we bade farewell to Mongkok, we walked around a bit in the morning, sampled some last-minute street food, even some last minute H&M shopping!! before going to the airport. We arrived earlier at the airport because thought the shopping there would be better, but again, nothing caught our eye. Oh well… byeeeee HK!! I wanna visit you again next year!

Bye Langham!

The zomg-delicious! Random pork bun (filled with dunno what, actually) that Tron bought. It’s about RM3-RM4.

Hong Kong Day 3 *LOVE* October 18, 2011

On our 3rd day, I wanted to take Tron on a REAL HK food experience. Keep in mind we had been eating either turkey ham sandwiches, Disneyland food or Mos Burger all this while. Really tragic when you think about the abundance of good food all around us in Mongkok! I read online that there were two really good places to get authentic wantan mee in Hong Kong – either Mak’s Noodles or Tsim Chai Kee. I decided to take Tron to TSim Chai Kee because they had GIANT wantan, which I felt was more of a novelty. :)

Here’s another disgraceful example of what type of breakfasts we eat — mochi from the night before!

View from our room. Quite nice, right? :3

Made our way to Central, and it was a Saturday, so we expected that there would be more people, but surprisingly, it was quite easy to get to Tsim Chai Kee. Along the way, we saw a group of people loudly talking about the place, so we were further heartened that we would get a good meal. =)

Finally arrived! Actually, Tron and I were super stoked that for this trip, everyone was SUPER nice to us, and they are not pushy, rude or whatever. People keep saying HK full of rude people, but I think it’s actually those from mainland, lololol. They are blur (try to pay with renminbi when people already say only accepting HKD) and they are super thick skin. This is just me generalising… I’m sure there are some really gentle chinese people from mainland too… they’re just not in HK. Lol!

For example of niceness — when we were in this restaurant, the place was initially quite full, so we had to sit in a crappy seat near the kitchen. Then the waitress (an old lady) allowed us to sit in a plush 6-seater even though she could very well just keep us stuck in that miserable corner. Cos usually those plush area for large groups right? There was a large group and they didn’t even get the plush corner but the normal wooden stools. Hahaha. I said it must be because Tron is handsome.

Enjoying our drinks. :3 (By the way, I was wearing my new tee shirt from Disneyland, hehe)

Tron’s shrimp wonton noodles.

My shrimp wonton + fish paste noodles. Don’t see like the bowl is so small.. it’s freaking filling! And here I thought after eating at Tsim Chai Kee, we could head on over to Mak’s Noodles, Tsui Wah, etc… lol!

Here’s the menu + prices for those of you interested.

Potted around nearby, headed towards Pottinger’s! Ok, as we were walking up and down the hills, we suddenly heard the sound of alarms and police sirens. I think we imagined gunshots! And visualised self being held as hostages. Scampered away quickly.

Tron was very stoked with the mid-levels escalators. And this is the Mickey shirt that he was talking about. :D

View from mid-levels escalators… :)

Bought curry fishballs + free wantan from a roadside vendor. Felt so darn authentic, lol. Tron ate this and said that it’s so good he can eat it everyday! Well, I don’t doubt him since he can eat turkey sandwiches everyday too.

Off topic a bit, but this is our drinks collection in the hotel! Lol! Everyday we buy more and more drinks and we don’t really finish it up…I have to say, we love C.C. Lemon! We used to love Vitamin Water, but now we love C.C. Lemon more! :P

Forced Tron to accompany me to Hui Lao Shan. In my head, I planned to go there everyday!! But this Tron is trying to stop me from becoming fat, so he only layan-ed me ONCE. Damn sad, I tell you.

They had this mango desserts buffet as well. So darn enticing! But it’s something like RM70-RM80 for a 9-course mango dessert extravaganza. I would’ve taken it, but Tron was giving me a LOOK. Damn not pandering to my heart’s desires. So we only ate…

This! Which I don’t know what it’s called, but it’s really good. What makes Hui Lao Shan so good is the freshness of the mango. You can taste the natural taste of the fruit, nothing fake-y about it. Hahaha. It feels so healthy! This should be a healthfood, not a dessert.

And of course, must have the curried spare parts. :D

After all that eating, I think we spent some time shopping around Langham Plaza itself. I went to my ever-favorite Lush store. I always love the salesgirls there. They are very friendly and knowledgable on the products. I’ve blogged about my encounter at the HK Lush store on my beauty blog, but basically they don’t have much choices (except in the soap, which is why I wound up with THREE pieces). And because we went back again the next day, she gave me some free gifts, and even gave a piece of soap to Tron!! Because this Tron kept smelling one soap called “Demon in the Dark” (I’ve tried it before and it’s really awesome) but he didn’t want to buy it. Even when I said I’ll buy it for him, he didn’t want (just to get him hooked to Lush!). I think the salesgirl thought …. hmm, maybe he won’t accept free stuff from his girlfriend, but free stuff from the company itself would surely get him into this brand??? And I think it worked, cos now Tron is telling people how good HK is, even the retail stores give him free gifts + good treatment. Hahahhaa!

Ooh, and the H&M store at Langham —- bliss! I still can’t believe that SG’reans lined up overnight to get into H&M Singapore. I’m kinda afraid to drop by the H&M in Singapore already! TBH, it was still a madhouse in H&M Langham Plaza, but no one was lining up to get in lah. And it’s so bad that I bought stuff that were loose and were ‘definite fits’ (aka : boring work stuff) because I didn’t want to line up and go into the changing room! Hahhaa. The unexpected H&M fan is actually Tron! You should see how fast he shops there & he got some really cool duds! He says that HK guys changed his perception on fashion. Wonder what would happen if he goes to Japan? Paris? London? Africa???

We also tried NY Fries, but this was a huge disappointment.

At night, we went to Harbour City in Tsim Tsa Tsui, solely because everyone says how fantastic this huge mall is, how classy, etc. We didn’t like it! Too expensive for us, and the place is rather poorly designed. You really need the shopping mall map, otherwise you’d be 100% lost. ~_~” We wandered around one small wing for so long thinking, “Is that it?” before we suddenly found the link and were blown away by how much more we hadn’t seen. I think the most time we spent in Harbour City was in CitySuper — something like Cold Storage / Village Grocer. Hahahhaa! We were looking for cool stuff that we could maybe buy back as souvenirs. Nada… or maybe we were just really tired.

But Tron did buy this … for dinner. Lol!

And he also told me to grab a juice, even though our hotel room had so many drinks already. I think he was drawn to the cute tumbler… but the tumbler is with me now and I still haven’t used it. :) Just sitting there, happy to be out of my luggage.

Hong Kong 2011 *LOVE* Day 2, Pt 2 October 14, 2011

Continuation of photos from previous entry!

Though we really tried hard to withstand our hunger, we finally caved in and had some really overpriced food in Disneyland. This is Tron’s char siu fan. It’s around RM25??

And this is my “three treasures” rice. The three treasures are the braised chicken meat, Chinese sausage and SALTED EGG. Salted egg also can be called as a treasure, lol.

Finally, the last “land” for us – Adventureland. At this point, we were just dutifully ticking off the check-box of visiting all 4 “areas” of Disneyland.

I sensed that our trip was coming to an end soon, so I had to ham it up a bit more to get more photos from the trip, lol.

Wah, I’m really pear shaped. T_T

This is Tarzan’s tree house, which we could take a raft over to visit, but doesn’t look like there’s much going on there, so we didn’t bother. I think there’s just going to be more souvenir shops there. Tron’s sister said that when she last went to HK Disneyland (and possibly the only person I talk to so far that LOVED it), there was a show with a 6-pack Tarzan. I wonder if the 6-pack Tarzan will be swinging around this area? :)

Tron also didn’t want to accompany me on the riverside cruise. He said walk along the railing is like riverside cruise already. What the!! Leech mad! Leech smash!!

Again, just to say, “I, the random asian… was here!”

Looks exciting what… I think it would’ve been one of the more interesting rides. Oh yeah, one of the reasons why I finally agreed with Tron to NOT go on the ride was cos the line was super massive blackhole!!! Sigh… probably the most crazy line in Disneyland.

Proud to say that I made this face even though there were tonnes of families waiting for their turn to camwhore on this chair too. I think they were impressed! They better not copy my pose man!

I kinda regret taking this picture, cos the place was kinda stinky. Maybe those are real human skulls!

This ain’t a random rubbish bin… it was moving along and blasting out Rick Astley. So I guess we all got Rick Roll’d. I remember it was Rick Astley… but this is Disneyland! Shouldn’t they be playing something more.. proprietary?

See? I told you that Disneyland had the cutest umbrellas.

Almost time to go home..

I wanted to ask the guy if I can hold the balloons too!! But this Tron said after I fly away wtf. As if he doesn’t know that I weigh about the heaviest I’ve ever weighed.. T__T

I don’t get the hype about Duffy…

Cute meh??!?! It’s so normal.

I think Marie is so much cuter! :D But I’ve outgrown my soft toy phase. The only ones I like are the ones that Tron got for me. Cos got meaning mah..

Trick or treat?

I told Tron that he should buy himself an authentic Disneyland shirt, but he said that he already got a Mickey shirt (you will see it in other entries). Then I said, “ya hor.. then why didn’t you wear it today!!!” and he said he not going to pander to the whole Disneyland thing. Grr.. guess what? I bought TWO shirts from Disneyland lor. Hahaaha! :D

Minnie ain’t my favorite, but we have the same ears! :P

Isn’t it funny how you take more photos when you know you have to leave soon?

You might notice that Tron suddenly has stopped posing for photos. Cos he said that if I going to critic his photography skills, he will keep on taking more photos of me to improve. Awww… but I tell you, I really did try to take more of his photos too. But he wouldn’t let go of the camera!

Everyone camwhores at the entrance when they arrive at Disneyland. I say, why bother? Wait til you’re leaving – the entrance ain’t going no where.

Back on the express back to Tung Chung…

So cheeeeeeeesy.

My tired photographer. :S Sorry for giving you such a hard time! :)

We had way more fun at the Citygates Outlets. It’s like a huge shopping mall containing OUTLET stores only! And we went wild there! Lol! Ok, not really, cos we aren’t filthy rich (like some people there – but if you are filthy rich, you won’t need to go to an outlet mall, right?). We just really enjoyed ourselves at Ralph Lauren particularly. For myself, I was also very chuffed with my purchases at the Bodyshop store and the Sasa outlet! The stuff in the Bodyshop outlet was way way cheaper than Bodyshop stores on SALE. Got quite a bit of stuff there, for myself and also for souvenirs for friends. =D As for Sasa, I am soooooo happy that you can get face masks for about RM2++ here. In Malaysia it is more than twice the price! I was so happy with the price that Tron asked me to buy more and “don’t regret” if I didn’t. =)

Citygates!! I miss you already! :$

We each had a crappy basket of siu loong pau. Nigga pls, don’t come near to Din Tai Foong, and they don’t give you ginger with it!

Er… the Club21 outlet store, I think.

Farewell, Tung Chung…

Guess why we FINALLY had to leave Citygates? Cos we were broke? Cos we walked the whole place over three times? Cos bored? No more discounts? Noo! In fact there was so much more places that we wanted to check out but we PHYSICALLY were unable to…. cos our backs were killing us! We were so in need of a good massage! Guess we strained ourselves with too much walking, and carrying so many bags. Sigh… what a pity. And Tung Chung is so freaking far away and it’s quite pricey to go all the way there. Next time if I go to HK, I might just dedicate a full day to walking around Citygates Outlets. Half a day is just not enough!

For dinner, we were too lazy to move, so we ate more turkey ham sandwiches in the hotel room. That and some more discounted sushi. Hahahahaha… cos it was quite late and the thought of more WALKING around to find a nice eatery joint just had our backs crying out in fear.

Hong Kong 2011 *LOVE* Day 2, Pt 1 October 12, 2011

The actually blog entry is really short, but there’s a crapload of pictures (considering that we were there for SUCH a short while and I’m going to complain about how not-worth-it this experience was), so I have to split it to TWO entries. Honestly, I felt gypped by the whole experience, especially since bloggers were raving so much about HK Disneyland. But maybe it’s just Tron and I not being very into all the fantasy and shits about Disneyland. Like, I couldn’t even wrap my mind around why people would ask Goofy for an autograph, and Ben said, “Oh, asking for an autograph is cray cray, but taking a picture with a man in a Goofy costume, pretending he actually IS Goofy is not?” There’s a difference ok, but I’m kinda lazy to expound on it. But basically I think that a line has to be drawn somewhere, hahah.

We were supposed to wake up at the unGodly hour of 7:30am in order to get our butts to Disneyland on our 2nd day in HK, but we only woke up at 9am!! I was scolding Tron all the way, saying that Disneyland was going to be packed as heck, and there were going to be long lines, etc etc. Even though we are going on a Friday, and it’s not the school holidays — I still didn’t want to take any risks! Plus, waking up late meant that we didn’t have a chance to eat a proper breakfast.

Remember that turkey ham I showed in this entry? That was our breakfast! We ate about 3 sandwiches EACH, and then rushed to grab the MTR. Tron kept thinking about the best way to get on the line to Sunny Bay from Mongkok. I think I got the best combination. Mongkok to Lai King, and Lai King to Sunny Bay! He was thinking of some pretty convoluted combinations. :)

Excitedly walking towards the entrance. They have music playing on speakers that make you feel like you really are approaching some magical destination. Songs from your childhood! :)

Amazingly, we managed to reach Disneyland by 11:30am, and the park seemed quite empty. I was really boiling over with excitement, and to be honest —- the expectations were not met. -__-” Disneyland was really a disappointment to me. I even read my old Ocean Park entry here, and I said Ocean Park was a better choice even though at that time I hadn’t been to Disneyland! Now that I’ve been, OCEAN PARK IS DEFINITELY BETTER THAN DISNEYLAND!!

I got the Tinkerbell card! Wheeeeee

First of all, the park is freaking small. Though we arrived at 11:30am, we were done by 4:30pm. And we had walked past the same things multiple times. We had taken pictures with some of the characters, we had sat on the rides we wanted to sit on. We had camwhored (and at first I was darn upset with Tron because he’s really a horrible photographer. Technically sound but cannot frame a picture properly!). We had sat on THE BEST RIDE IN DISNEYLAND – It’s a Small World. Erm… that’s basically it. We walked into a hundred souvenir stores, and it seems like 60% of Disneyland ARE the souvenir stores. I mean, it’s hard to be caught up in the fantasy of it all when everywhere you go, it’s just opportunity to buy more trinkets. That’s not what it’s like in the movies! You supposed to have a fairy godmother who grants your every wish! But I have to say, I was of course suckered in by the commercialisation. I swear, Disneyland has the cutesssssst keychains ever. And t-shirts. And caps. And umbrellas. And food. Wtf!!

Here are some photos from our brief affair :

See how deserted Main Street is?

Maybe I just didn’t like the gloomy Halloween atmosphere. I also didn’t see the whole “heads will roll… again” headless horseman show. I had no idea where to go to see it! I was half-expecting it to be a random actor galloping across Disneyland. That would have been awesome right? But there was none.

My spirits were still soaring high at this point… but Tron already looks very grumpy. Hahaha! Later, he told everyone that he only went to Disneyland to pander to me. I feel so bad lah!! But don’t tell me I go to Disneyland ALONE?!

This was at the main “meeting point” in Disneyland. Er… the place between Adventureland, Fantasyland (not sure, tbh), Tomorrowland and Main Street. Our goal was to head to Fantasyland first as it’s deepest in, maybe less people will be there (as people usually walk from Main Street and go in deeper), and hence, less lines!

Sleeping Beauty’s castle or something like that. Forgotten!

This is actually the best photo Tron took of me with the castle in the backdrop, and it’s not even the whole of the castle.

At least I got a better photo for him!!

Random.

Here I was sulking because Tron took so many bad photos of me, that I couldn’t even bear taking photos anymore. Cos if I pose nicely, he will have like a photo of me all zoomed in and nothing in the background. Like what’s the point mannn. -___-” Then he said I cannot blame him as he doesn’t own a camera. Ironically, this photo of me sulking is one of the better photos he took.

We used Dumbo prop as a place to learn how to frame photos… lol. Crash course.

Once Tron learn how to replicate, we can proceed to the next destination, wtf.

Ooh! It’s the “It’s a Small World” ride!! This is a must see!! I can’t even explain to you what it’s about because it’s so simple and yet so extravagant. If I tell you what it is, you’ll be unimpressed, but it’s seriously like, amazing.

Happy because there was NO LINES (nobody wanna come to Disneyland, lol) and we got the front sit in the gondola. The movement at the back is two guys coming to sit behind us, lol. Too bad for them.

My camera just cannot show you the full glory of the ride… you really have to try it (but preferably not at HK Disneyland) and you’ll see what I’m talking about. :D The whole thing is very pretty & creative… oh, and the blurry pictures are because NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS ALLOWED! =)

I look fat here, but ok lah, love this ride so much. Must have a photo to commemorate it

Stopped for most expensive ice-cream ever. :)

Mine is mango flavored! By the way, my mouse ears were from Disneyland in California. I didn’t want to pay another RM50 for another pair. I think mine damn cute already, all sequinned and velvet. No one else have mouse ears like mine! :D

Lol… this is my favorite picture! Tron is Bird Man! :D The birds ni the park are so friendly, they just come right up to you! So many people took pictures of the birds surrounding Tron. Hahahaha.

This machine can detect motion, and will spritz out water at you. Fun!

Headgear to put you in the mood. :)

Me and Mr Lightyear. =) As you can tell, we’d moved on to Tomorrowland.

Random ride that I dragged Tron on. (Notice his “I’m so forced into doing everything for today” face)

And .. this is it!

Hahaha.. Gosh, my eyebags are horrendous.

Guess what ride this is?

Teaccccupps!

With Alice in Wonderland…. we all had shades of blue on!

Final ride in the Fantasyland — Merry-go-round! Hahahhaa! This one I really had to persuade Tron to get on!

I loved carousels ever since I sat on one when there was a carnival near Subang Parade! Anyone remember those days?

Actually I wanted to sit on this horse! So pretty… so tak jadi. Hmph!

We met Goofy too, and  he hugged us SOOOO tightly in this picture! Gasp! And he was super impressed with my Goofy laugh. Seriously, my Goofy laugh is darn authentic, though Tron says it is disgusting.

Hi Minnie… bye Minnie. Actually, I don’t like the way they organised the photos at the park. The characters will randomly switch places after a certain amount of time, and when you’re lining up halfway for a picture with say, Goofy, he will suddenly leave and you get a picture with Minnie instead! Why can’t the character just stay in one place! Like in this case, we were lining up for Donald Duck (my fave character!) and halfway through he just quacks off and Minnie comes in. Too tired to go line up all over again in a new queue for Donald, so we just said screw it to the picture taking and moved on…

To be continued in the next entry…
