Project 365? May 6, 2012

My friends are all embarking on the project 365 thingy, whereby you take a photo a day to show what you’ve been up to. Well, it is very easy for me to participate now that I have an iPhone (I always sound like I’m bragging, but please take it more as me being very excited!). However, I don’t use Instagram (though I have the app), my Twitter isn’t public and I don’t feel like cluttering one post a day on my blog! Instead, I prefer to compile all the weird / nice / happy photos and post it all in one go. Like now.

Woke up early on a Saturday to go for RPM. Thought I had an appointment with Sookie, but she ffk me in the end, hahaha. (I had been ffk-ing her before this, so the one time I could make it she wasn’t around!)

Pic in the J33 changing room after cycling outside the RPM studio (I wound up too late to go in anyway) cos I thought Sookie was inside, so I wanted to catch her when she walks out. Hahahaha…

So pretty the Haikara coffee after I poured in the milk. I think this is the charcoal coffee, the “must try” at this restaurant.

But after mixed up already, it looks like nothing next to Sookie’s green tea with vanilla ice-cream.

Always have to have coffee before church. This Pokka vanila milk coffee isn’t too bad.

My favorite new drink in Chatime is the roasted milk tea with grass jelly. Yay for grass jelly, I no longer like the pearls which make me feel too full anyway.

Warehouse prices for stuff like Billabong, Levis, etc… but too bad most of the stuff aren’t a good fit. I have to keep telling myself that I don’t *have* to buy something just because it’s RM30.

You won’t even believe where this place is…!! It’s in a DIY store, like ACE Hardware, but it’s called “Mr DIY”. Got so many stuff here for theme dressing. Last time I spent so much time making “wings” for my costumes cos it’s expensive to buy from costume shops. But Mr DIY sells stuff for like RM5-RM10. Worth it !!!

Finally got to try Marutama!!  It’s so yummy, but it’s quite pricey. RM30 for a bowl of ramen!

This is the specialty of Marutama ramen — the funny hard boiled egg with the runny middle! Very very goooood.

Indulging in Magnum in the office. I started eating this after I saw my vendor digging into one. Hahahha… it’s only RM3.90 but it’s like a little indulgence every other week for me. Ok, I need to stop complaining about gaining weight if I keep doing this.

Experimenting with my new camera filters… yes, this is the horrible place where I have to park my car! Ok, this is not the horrible part. I will show you the horrible parts another day.

Both Dull and I have bottle openers as keychains… for our car keys!! But I’m innocent cos the keychain was a gift from Fuzzy (who also engraved my name there), but Dull actually uses her keychain cos “need something to open them beers after driving around and grabbing some bottles from 7-11″. WTF.

Found an old Christmas present I had wrapped up (for old church cell group members). I still remember that this is for Alan — he didn’t come to church on Christmas and subsequent cell groups so I wound up keeping it. Hahaha.

The Random Round-Up April 28, 2012

So what do you think about this WordPress theme? It’s pretty popular so you’ve probably seen it on someone else’s website. Thought of a change after so long with the serious theme. Blogging a quick one before my implementation tomorrow. Fingers, toes, all crossed! Sigh! I’m also feeling particularly irritated because I think I left my spectacles in the office! I often bring my specs with me cos my eyes can get quite dry, and I would need to switch over to glasses. For some reason, I can’t find it anywhere now! So annoying! I hope it’s in the office, not smashed in some corner. The biggest pissing off moment is that I actually just replaced my specs. Like JUST A MONTH AGO. Argggh!

Anyway, here are some old photos from my Lumix… wanted to post them for the longest time ever, but never got around to it. If you thought I took a lot of photos last time, I’m even worse now! With my iPhone, I can click away anytime and share right away. WHY didn’t I get it earlier!?! As my boss says, “This is the best purchase for this year, right?” Hahahahaha….

Tron and I attended a healthy cooking demonstration in Empire Shopping Gallery… Chef Sham showed us how to make vegetables TASTY. It was all very delicious, but TOO much effort. There was one dish where she seem to cook for 30 minutes and in the end, it was just to get the juices out from the stuff she had been stewing away. OMG. Just for juice for the salad!!

Argh! So pissed off with Snowflake.. after I had collected all the stamps, they said I didn’t redeem fast enough, so my card has expired. Excuse me, which part of this stupid ass card shows an expiry date huh?!!? Sheesh! It’s just that so happen after I got the last stamp, I got so tired of their grass jelly ice, so I took a long hiatus. Sheesh.. very irritating la Snowflake. I will rather NOT eat grass jelly ice anymore than to go there. They so stingy to even give me one RM6.90 dessert ar.. after me collecting all those stamps?!? Then I take my business elsewhere!

And yes, I realise their “terms and conditions” can change anytime. So why not just change it to “once you collect 9 stamps, your card automatically becomes invalid and you have to start all over again”. I mean, since you are in the process of wanting to gyp your customers of a RM6.90 (or cheaper!) dessert!!

Gals Day Out April 18, 2012

Lots of pictures to post from meet-ups many, many, many weeks ago. Would you believe me if I said I have stuff to do every weekend? I’m seriously busy every weekend – sure have chores to do or people to meet up with. If you told secondary school Leech that it would be this way, she wouldn’t believe ya. Weekends are for more gymming and snuggling in bed with a good book! I used to be able to read a few books a month, but it’s already April and I think I only read 2-3 books. :\ Plus, last time I used to be the one buying all the books in my house, but now it’s *jeng jeng jeng* my brother! I cannot believe that he actually reads wtf. The problem with reading books that my brother buys are that he only buys cheap books. Like stuff from the bargain bin – so you’re definitely not reading any award winners. Still, it’s something to flip thru when you’re on the porcelain throne I guess.

I’ll blog about the books that I read in another entry, because it’s seriously wtf + lol. Meanwhile, pics of meet-ups with my gal pals from earlier this month! (Or was it late last month? Gee, how time flies.)

Went to SUGIMOTO with Dull, Fuzz and Pauline recently. I know, such a random mix of gals right? The similarity? All my good friends who are dependable + I can work with. Hahahaha.

I was wondering why Kamdar also sells weapons (spears), and Dull said it’s OBVIOUSLY curtain rods. Wtf, do you think it’s “OBVIOUSLY” curtain rods? I think not!

Met up with Kim for our annual gift exchange… just that we are so late this year that her birthday is in about 5 months time, lol. Well, she has been busy and it’s quite exciting to hear her talk about going for dance classes and “social dancing”. I didn’t even know there’s such a social dancing scene in KL. The only dancing scene I know of is feng tau like on ecstacy in clubs. Anyway, we went to Papa Johns because Tron gave me all his BCARD vouchers that he got from Chatime. Among the stack of vouchers said to be worth RM1.3k is countless Papa Johns vouchers. -__-” In the end, the waitress also keyed in the coupon wrongly and we got a better deal – buy 1 free 1 instead of a 2 pizzas for RM40 or whatever.

It was fun meeting up! We talked and talked until Pyramid closed down and we had to leave Papa Johns through the backdoor, hahahaa.

The “must have” cheese sticks with tomato sauce & butter garlic sauce. It’s not really a must have, but the butter garlic sauce is damn evil sinful delicious sinful crap!! It’s like oil! But oil that you want to drink, hahha.

The Mexican pizza, which is rather spicy. The jalapenos will have your mouth on fire. Quite deceptive since the pizza looks so mild.
