Completely Random Bits Of My Life

myPhone! April 11, 2012

Okie, time for a break from all my awesome holiday photos… to tell you that I bought a new phone!! After using my previous one for more than 5 years, it was starting to break down on me. The navigation button fell off, and stupid Nokia said I had to replace the entire keypad for a few hundred. No thanks. The port to charge also fcuked up, and again – need few hundred to replace. No thank you, again. Phone started randomly shutting itself down whenever it liked. Behave, why don’t you? And in case you’re wondering how I charged my phone, I charged the battery directly. Whenever I took out the phone battery to charge, I would put my SIM card into my dad’s backup phone. Yes, my DAD’S backup phone.

I think I whined a lot about my phone on my blog before, just doing a recap before continuing, haha.

Anyway, the MAIN reason why I took so long to get another phone is simply because I DON’T KNOW what to get. There are so many choices for smart phones nowadays. All I know is that I did not want another Nokia because I am so sorely disappointed in my last one. In the end, the strange, strange thing that “encouraged” me to change my phone is … my boss. I think he has shares in Apple or something. Everytime he saw me using my old + crappy phone, he would say, “Hey, just get an iPhone la!” He made it his mantra for a few days, and then I really did go and buy the iPhone! iPhone 4S to be precise. :P

You can slide in a 20sen coin and can prop your phone up. But that’s not why I bought this casing. I bought it because it is “spongebob yellow” and was the only phone casing I liked in the Mont Kiara mall, where I bought my phone.

Before buying it, Tron also did encourage me to get a new phone, but he is not as consistent as my boss. He used to be a BIG supporter of the Blackberry, but now he starts to complain a whole lot about it. Hehe. Then he liked the Samsung Galaxy S2, but after a while said it was no biggie. I think he’s interested in the Galaxy Note now, lol. So he was confusing me, who was already a confused soul. So instead of being confused and buying the “wrong” phone, I just continued suffering with my previous phone.

OH — another reason it took me so long to make a decision : I am not the gadget loving type. If I buy a phone, I know I will be using it for a longgggg time. I didn’t want another phone that I would hate after a year or so. :\ I suppose another reason would be that I’m just stingy about gadgets in general, and was hoping I would just win a damn phone so that the decision on what model to use would be made for me. :P Unfortunately, no luck there … YET. ;P Anyway, I have been chalking up a lot of huge expenses recently, so it was kinda like a, “Meh.. what’s another few thousand”. O_O”

I’m still exploring the apps, so if you’ve got any cool apps that I *must* download, please do tell me! Currently I’ve downloaded mostly camwhoring apps (hehe) and games. My favorite game at the moment is Bejewelled. And according to the app, when I had the phone for merely 4 days, I had already chalked up 8 hours of game time. O_O” Yes, that is how bad my addiction to the game is! I have other serious apps that Tron passed to me (he uses the iPad). Mostly stuff like things to read PDF files, lol. Yes, my boyfriend is a very serious guy. But I’m more into using this phone for fun times, so please recommend games to me! =D And yes, if you see me Tweeting more often than usual, this would be the reason! :) And I Twitpic more often too! :P

Oh, and I’m really loving the camera! Yes, one of things I loved about my old phone that other phones did not have was the front-facing camera. The iPhone 4S has a front camera, so I feel like there’s some continuity there, hahaha. But my old phone’s normal camera is pretty slow and I don’t think the Carl Zeiss lens is that special. I rarely took photos with the back camera for my old phone because it is sooooooooo slow that it’s not really “whipping out my camera and casually snapping something” anymore. But with my iPhone 4s, I have become so snap happy. :D

Ok, so it’s pretty much a bimbo phone for me, and I’m proud of that! I never claimed to be a gadget geek, so when I’m able to do small things like take photos, install apps, use wi-fi, etc, I’m really happy. Cos I didn’t have that with my old phone! :) In fact, I feel less inclined to switch on my laptop cos I can already do what I need to do on my phone.

If you’re wondering how Siri is for me — Siri reminds me why all my Australian / American vendors don’t seem to understand me. *sad sob* Actually, I’m changing, I speak really slow when talking to my vendors so they don’t think that I’m rapping / speaking chinese wtf. The first time I asked Siri to call my boyfriend, he said, “Sorry, cannot find Show LX Shoe”. LOL! So you can try and guess what is my boyfriend’s real name. When I dictated an SMS to Siri, he came up with some gibberish! Other things that Siri doesn’t understand : He thinks my “Change” is either “Cheesy” or “J”. “Cancel” is “Kennesaw” and “Review” is “Reviewal”. Whaddaheck! Am I really pronouncing so many extra syllables?!?!

Oh God, I just had a most irritating conversation with Siri:

“Send a message to Andrew”

“I don’t know who Angel is”

“Andrew.”

“I don’t know who Angel is. To whom should I send this message to?”

“Mommy” (decided to change contact since apparently I pronounce “Andrew” like “Angel”)

“I don’t know who Angel’s mother is. I don’t know who your mother is. In fact I don’t know who you are.”

WTF, why so rude! Anyway, just abruptly ending this entry with all the photos from my iPhone so far! :X

First photo taken ever on my iPhone… at the Apple store! That seems apt. :) By the way, my colleague told me that at some places, even the 4S is out of stock, but though I did not have to line up to get my iPhone in the Mont Kiara branch, I have a few bones to pick with the Maxis store there. Firstly, kept telling me the 32GB white casing is in stock, but when time to pass me the phone, it is suddenly NOT in stock. Told me to wait 30 minutes while he gets the phone from another branch (when I insisted I wanted the white one), but ended up waiting one hour. Then my credit card couldn’t go through, so I had to pay in cash!!

Random at work the next day, where I discover that a fully charged iPhone cannot even last til 6pm for me.

Muwahahha.. all the cute cam apps have been installed at this point! :P

Taken by my loving boyfriend, who was so into my phone when I first got it! He helped me with all the security settings! :)

My oh-so-adorable nephew! :) We love him and he loves us! :P

Present that Tron gave to me… for my phone! But nothing to dangle it from, so I use it for my pedestal key instead.

Arr… more camwhoring. On Sunday, had usher duty, where we always have to wear a white top and black skirt / pants and black sensible shoes. For me, it means that if I go anywhere else after church, people might mistake me for a sales assistant.

Random giant bed bug.

Yes, you always have a way of brightening up my day.. iPhone… :P

Just taken today! Went to 1U with my man.

Here we are at O’Briens, which was super understaffed today. They made us wait 30 minutes for two freaking sandwiches and 2 cups of terrible coffee and tea. They forgot our order la! I should have gotten the hint when the chinese uncle before us was ranting on why his order was late. What really got my goat is how they NEVER apologised for their mistake and we didn’t even screw them upside-down for their mistake, in fact didn’t scold at all! We just asked where is our food!! But another Malay group that actually arrived later than us AND got their food earlier than us, I heard the cashier say sorry to THEM. Wtf, I don’t want to pull out the race card, but it is really racist lor. I ban from visiting O’Briens already, seriously. Damn disappointed, starting the day on a bad note.

And you think the sandwich in O’Brien damn hard to make? Look at this la, there’s no veggies or anything also. Sheesh! And the group after us (that was apologised to) ordered the triple decker and all the other more complicated sandwiches lor. FTS seriously!

Ok, guess where we went to watch “Wrath of the Titans”? Storyline is nothing to shout about, but I like the action I suppose. The last good movie I watched recently was Battle Royale, which is something I may or may not rant about in the future.

Tron said some aunty was tsk-tsk-ing at us when we took this photo… lol. What’s wrong with camwhoring wor.

Hong Kong 2011 *LOVE* Day 2, Pt 2 October 14, 2011

Continuation of photos from previous entry!

Though we really tried hard to withstand our hunger, we finally caved in and had some really overpriced food in Disneyland. This is Tron’s char siu fan. It’s around RM25??

And this is my “three treasures” rice. The three treasures are the braised chicken meat, Chinese sausage and SALTED EGG. Salted egg also can be called as a treasure, lol.

Finally, the last “land” for us – Adventureland. At this point, we were just dutifully ticking off the check-box of visiting all 4 “areas” of Disneyland.

I sensed that our trip was coming to an end soon, so I had to ham it up a bit more to get more photos from the trip, lol.

Wah, I’m really pear shaped. T_T

This is Tarzan’s tree house, which we could take a raft over to visit, but doesn’t look like there’s much going on there, so we didn’t bother. I think there’s just going to be more souvenir shops there. Tron’s sister said that when she last went to HK Disneyland (and possibly the only person I talk to so far that LOVED it), there was a show with a 6-pack Tarzan. I wonder if the 6-pack Tarzan will be swinging around this area? :)

Tron also didn’t want to accompany me on the riverside cruise. He said walk along the railing is like riverside cruise already. What the!! Leech mad! Leech smash!!

Again, just to say, “I, the random asian… was here!”

Looks exciting what… I think it would’ve been one of the more interesting rides. Oh yeah, one of the reasons why I finally agreed with Tron to NOT go on the ride was cos the line was super massive blackhole!!! Sigh… probably the most crazy line in Disneyland.

Proud to say that I made this face even though there were tonnes of families waiting for their turn to camwhore on this chair too. I think they were impressed! They better not copy my pose man!

I kinda regret taking this picture, cos the place was kinda stinky. Maybe those are real human skulls!

This ain’t a random rubbish bin… it was moving along and blasting out Rick Astley. So I guess we all got Rick Roll’d. I remember it was Rick Astley… but this is Disneyland! Shouldn’t they be playing something more.. proprietary?

See? I told you that Disneyland had the cutest umbrellas.

Almost time to go home..

I wanted to ask the guy if I can hold the balloons too!! But this Tron said after I fly away wtf. As if he doesn’t know that I weigh about the heaviest I’ve ever weighed.. T__T

I don’t get the hype about Duffy…

Cute meh??!?! It’s so normal.

I think Marie is so much cuter! :D But I’ve outgrown my soft toy phase. The only ones I like are the ones that Tron got for me. Cos got meaning mah..

Trick or treat?

I told Tron that he should buy himself an authentic Disneyland shirt, but he said that he already got a Mickey shirt (you will see it in other entries). Then I said, “ya hor.. then why didn’t you wear it today!!!” and he said he not going to pander to the whole Disneyland thing. Grr.. guess what? I bought TWO shirts from Disneyland lor. Hahaaha! :D

Minnie ain’t my favorite, but we have the same ears! :P

Isn’t it funny how you take more photos when you know you have to leave soon?

You might notice that Tron suddenly has stopped posing for photos. Cos he said that if I going to critic his photography skills, he will keep on taking more photos of me to improve. Awww… but I tell you, I really did try to take more of his photos too. But he wouldn’t let go of the camera!

Everyone camwhores at the entrance when they arrive at Disneyland. I say, why bother? Wait til you’re leaving – the entrance ain’t going no where.

Back on the express back to Tung Chung…

So cheeeeeeeesy.

My tired photographer. :S Sorry for giving you such a hard time! :)

We had way more fun at the Citygates Outlets. It’s like a huge shopping mall containing OUTLET stores only! And we went wild there! Lol! Ok, not really, cos we aren’t filthy rich (like some people there – but if you are filthy rich, you won’t need to go to an outlet mall, right?). We just really enjoyed ourselves at Ralph Lauren particularly. For myself, I was also very chuffed with my purchases at the Bodyshop store and the Sasa outlet! The stuff in the Bodyshop outlet was way way cheaper than Bodyshop stores on SALE. Got quite a bit of stuff there, for myself and also for souvenirs for friends. =D As for Sasa, I am soooooo happy that you can get face masks for about RM2++ here. In Malaysia it is more than twice the price! I was so happy with the price that Tron asked me to buy more and “don’t regret” if I didn’t. =)

Citygates!! I miss you already! :$

We each had a crappy basket of siu loong pau. Nigga pls, don’t come near to Din Tai Foong, and they don’t give you ginger with it!

Er… the Club21 outlet store, I think.

Farewell, Tung Chung…

Guess why we FINALLY had to leave Citygates? Cos we were broke? Cos we walked the whole place over three times? Cos bored? No more discounts? Noo! In fact there was so much more places that we wanted to check out but we PHYSICALLY were unable to…. cos our backs were killing us! We were so in need of a good massage! Guess we strained ourselves with too much walking, and carrying so many bags. Sigh… what a pity. And Tung Chung is so freaking far away and it’s quite pricey to go all the way there. Next time if I go to HK, I might just dedicate a full day to walking around Citygates Outlets. Half a day is just not enough!

For dinner, we were too lazy to move, so we ate more turkey ham sandwiches in the hotel room. That and some more discounted sushi. Hahahahaha… cos it was quite late and the thought of more WALKING around to find a nice eatery joint just had our backs crying out in fear.

A Wedding Weekend May 11, 2011

Whoa… this weekend was all about F&WS’s wedding and er… pies! So tired and groggy right now because I drank like… two glasses of red wine yesterday. :) I’m not so good at holding my drink now. :p

On Friday, worked quite late… I haven’t gone to the gym in ages ady. *sigh* Telling myself that this is only til June, whereby I can take a break again. Don’t get me wrong — I don’t mind working late. But maybe 3 times a week or something like that. Even better if I can work from home. But since that is not feasible, let’s not think about it. Basically, worked late and was a bit grumpy when I met Tron directly after work. -___- Then he instantly cheered me up when I saw that he got me the Longchamp Le Pliage “Shopping” bag. :P I’ve never been a bag person (or shoe person. Or gadget person. Or whatever…), but this bag, I like. :P It’s simple and understated, but so classy. Somehow or other, after having this bag, I notice that a lot of people are using Longchamp too! But most are fakes. >=p Yes, I’ve also become one of those people who study how to tell the difference between the real and the fake version. >=p

Ok enough bragging! :p We didn’t really get to spend a lot of time on Friday as we had an early day on Saturday — F&WS’s church wedding. To be honest… before this I have only attended one other church wedding EVER. Which was my youngest uncle’s wedding, haha. I didn’t really know it is important to the couple getting married as I thought you can equate it to like the chip san leong ceremony or something like that. So bad, I know…

The church wedding was a sweet affair… erm… nothing extraordinary happened, but pastor did give a meaningful speech based on how Jesus’s first miracle is a miracle performed at a wedding. I was a bit kekok cos everyone there knows the couple for years and years, but I just got to know them about a month ago. And not even very well at that. :p After the couple had been united, we had a short lunch (buffet style) at the Dream Cafe…. then went home to watch movies while Tron did his chores. =p I got to watch Knight & Day, Confessions of a Shopaholic and part of Black Swan (like the first 15 minutes?) before he had finished his chores and wanted to have dinner before driving back to SJ.

Knight & Day – from the trailer, I really wanted to watch this movie because it shows a funny side of Tom Cruise. But the movie itself is so weird. It’s like Tom Cruise’s character was stalking Cameron Diaz, and then vice versa towards the end. And I don’t like Cameron Diaz’s character… so hao lian and so presumptuous at the end. Blehk. I donno, but towards the end of the movie, didn’t it seem like she was so in love with him but he was kind of just, “Oh… got girl like me ah? Ok lo… ambik saja”?! And please lah… the bad guys were just so… pathetic. Especially at the part where Diaz’s character jumped out too early and she got fired at … MULTIPLE times and they still MISSED.EVERY.SHOT. Pathetic or what? Maybe you can say that she wasn’t the main target, so that’s why they missed. But since when bad guys got conscience some more wan?

Confessions of a Shopaholic – I read only the first 30 pages of the book, so I had to Wikipedia to find out the differences between the novel and the movie. The book REALLY irked me because she was so ridiculously flippant about her debts, and people like that just piss me off. Like, wanting to front some branded goods but can’t really afford it in reality. What’s the point? Then, I read an (erroneous, I guess) review of the book from some blogger who said that “the rich guy bails her out in the end” so I was quite FFFFUUUU about it. What kinda novel would tell us that it’s ok to be up to your eyeballs in debt, as long as you make sure you’re pretty enough to snare a trust fund baby in the end.

In the end, the book is not really like that, and the movie is not like that at all. They had the very pretty Isla Fisher playing the role of Becky Bloomwood, so I guess it makes her seem more likable? And although she was in debt, the movie didn’t really show her still shopping like a mad woman. The only thing that she really did buy and showed her “evil shopaholic side” was the expensive dress when she was going to appear on a TV show. And lets face it, if you were gonna appear on a morning TV show, wouldn’t you splurge a little to look nicer? The movie mainly showed how she went about escaping Derek Smeadth, haha.

I kind of pitied Derek at the end. At the end of the day, he was just trying to do his job. Sure, he was a little cruel when he appeared on the TV show, but wasn’t she cruel to have lied to him and continuously run away from him instead of meeting up with him and working out some kind of payment plan? Totally irresponsible, and then piling him with the cash in pennies & quarters at the end of the movie kinda showed that she was pretty classless, IMHO. Like totally didn’t even think she was wrong to have lied and hid from him in the first place!

I wouldn’t watch this movie again… basically just watched it to see what it was all about. Even the male actor wasn’t much of any eye candy, and the Alicia “long legs” wasn’t even very hot also… looks like a tranny.

Black Swan – only watched a bit (as mentioned) but I’m so psyched to watch the rest of the movie! Natalie Portmon looks so incredibly beautiful and intense here… really curious to see what this Oscar-winning movie is all about. (Usually I don’t bother because the movies are too deep for a simple person like myself. :p)

Used my Bulldog Milkadeal coupon with Tron. For RM35, we get 1 soup, any main and 1 ice-lemon tea. I know that this sounds pretty expensive (I’m sure that there are regular places that serve you this for RM35), but the difference is that the food in Bulldog is really good, and they come in ginourmous sizes! I was pretty confident about this coupon because when I saw Bulldog was having a group purchasing deal, I immediately sms-ed to ask Tron how much he usually paid for his Bulldog dinners (yes, he often eats here anyway!). He said about RM50 per person, and that’s just for his meal alone!

Tron was very happy with this group purchasing deal, haha. Usually he always complains the place is :
~ far
~ strange food / food he doesn’t want to eat
~ nobody at all in the restaurant
~ he won’t go back again

I always tell him that the experience was worthwhile… wasn’t it? And he would grudgingly say ok, just once is enough. =( But for this coupon, he asked me whether I bought more than 2 coupons or not. So you can tell that this place is pretty good lah.

This was what we had :

My carrot & coriander soup was a most welcome difference from the cream of mushroom soups that most places serve us. Yummy and nutritious, it tasted great with the lightly toasted white bread that came with the starter. Meanwhile, Tron had the roasted pumpkin soup that he devoured in a jiffy, so I can’t tell you how it tasted, but that it was probably awesome for him to have wolved it all down without offering me some. =p

Right after the soups were served, our mains came after. Basically, it took a while for the food to arrive, but when they did, they came in quick succession. =) I had the beef & Guinness pie, while Tron had the Ultimate Burger. The burger was hugeee! The pie was VERY good, but be careful to go easy on the sauce, because the filling inside the pie is already quite salty. If you just DRENCH your meal with the gravy, it’s just going to be OTT.

Ultimate Burger

Guinness Beef Pie

After surgery on it… ;P

Although we went for a really early dinner (think : 5:30pm!), the place had quite a number of patrons, both dining and also those who were having afternoon beers. To Tron, it’s very different from the eerie emptiness of the previous places that we have visited. I’ll definitely be coming back here, either with Tron or to introduce this place to Dull & Fuzz, who love nooks like this as well.

All in all, a wonderful group purchase experience for this week. =) And yes, I got my PIE finally! Hehehe. In fact, I overdose on pies this week! Cos after church on Sunday, Tron wanted to treat me to a place that he had read good reviews of online. I was quite skeptical because my bf is not the type of person who goes around reading food bloggers (floggers?). In the end, he took me to Mojo in SS2…

I thought the food there was pretty good. Well, I loved the homebaked chicken and mushroom pie, though I much prefer the one in Bulldog. Then again, can’t compare because the Bulldog one is 3x more expensive. I just prefer full pies than pies in ramkins that are covered with some puff pastry. The place has VERY good business, and right now they are having a buy 1 free 1 drinks promotion. Get it while it lasts. :) Even if you don’t like the food (Tron didn’t like his mutton pilaf rice), get the pie like I did and enjoy the cute zaman 50-an setting. ;p

Actually, we spent a bit too much time roaming around SS2 that we nearly forgot that we had a wedding to attend that night! F&WS’s chinese wedding dinner thingy.. heheh. Had to rush back… do some random chores, and then head out to Shah Alam in the evening. Quite rushed, but in the end, it didn’t start on time also (normal lah). The bride was very busy… mingling with the guests during the cocktail reception. As I told Steph, “Last time my sister hide in the room until it was her showtime, hahaha”.

Oh gosh! We forgot to take our souvenir with us! *feels bad* Expensive personalised one some more…

Stage area has photo of bride & groom.. not just the names like most weddings.

Jack uploaded this photo… I look terrible here, but Steph, Flo the bride and Angeline look good here!

The wedding ceremony proceeded without any hitches, and the bride had 3 fabulous gown changes. Haha, sorry-lah, but for any girl, what I check out is always what the bride wears. =p The photo montages were interesting – this couple did a LOT of photoshoots! However, the most memorable part of the evening was when the father of the bride gave his speech! He was so funny! Though I can’t quote him word by word, this was the gist of what he said :

FOTB : “…when asked if F will say yes if WS proposes, I said… of course she will say yes… because F is desperate.”
[cue the audience going "OOOOHhhhHHHHhhh" (in the Oh snap! kind of way)
FOTB : "... remind her that age is catching up."
[audience is horrified and laughing at the same time]
FOTB : “her brother James asked… when is jie jie coming back home? To clean out her wardrobe so that I can put my stuff in there.”
FOTB : “…but when it came to the time when the pastor asked, ‘Who gives the bride away?’ and I’m supposed to say, ‘I give’, I was just blur there. When the pastor extended out his hand for me to put F’s hand there, I shook his hand instead. Sorry ah pastor, though we had so many times practice already. :P
[everyone laughs]

It was seriously quite touching towards the end, and I think F is a great sport because she didn’t even look horrified when her dad made all the earlier statements. :) Can see that they have a super close relationship. What I found funny was that Steph was crying over this, but I remember her trying so hard not to cry during her own wedding! Your own wedding more kam dong wan right!

During the wedding, I also found out something-I-was-not-suppose-to-know-but-in-the-end-actually-ok-if-I-know. Lol! It’s nothing bad, in fact it’s something super worth celebrating about and I’m so happy and excited when this item comes to pass. =) Hehehe… anyway, congratulations to F & WS again… a 5 year relationship wo.. so sweet. =)

Lastly, happy mother’s day… I bought my mom this for mother’s day :

Finally found the rose perfume in Crabtree & Evelyn that she likes! Thank you Tron for lending me your discount card… and I had a fun experience shopping at the C&E outlet in Empire. The salesgirls there are so helpful and evil-ly tempting me to spend more so that I can get the C&E free gifts! Every now and then, C&E will have tiered pricing free gifts. Like, spend RM300, you get free gifts worth RM50. But if you spent RM380, you get free gifts worth RM100. Stuff like that. I was soooo tempted to spend more because my mom’s gift already quite pricy. For just a little over RM50, I could get free gift! But it was just shower gels and stuff… nice smelling indulgences that I don’t really need. But the salesgirls kept trying to convince me otherwise. Then they said that if I spent another RM150+ more, I could get an even bigger free gift, which included this floral bag. I was like, “Oohh…. floral bag…” and this Tron kept having to “put lang sui” (pour cold water) over all of us by saying, “Aiyo! That bag is damn ugly la! Why you want?”
“Only aunties carry those kind of bags la!”
“Aiyo! Bring to pasar kind of bag la!”

The salesgirls kept having some friendly banter with him over all his insults, hahaha. But seriously, maybe next time. I think I was being hypnotised, looking back, the bag really ain’t that great. So thank you Tron! XD

Oh yeah, and my friend Steph keeps saying that people mistake her and Jack for still being boyfriend and girlfriend (probably she looks too young to be married?), but at church, a few people (strangers!) wished me Happy Mother’s Day lor!! OMG!!! Why would you wish someone that, especially since I didn’t have a so ha chai in tow?!?! T____T

Conclusion : really need to gym moreeeeee…

Relaxing Day April 28, 2011

A relaxing day is one where you can get everything settled before it is even 12pm.

A relaxing day is one where you can eat whatever you wish for lunch without thinking about your lunch partner. In my case, it was wanting to eat Vietnamese pho for a long time…

A relaxing day is one where you find back a beverage which you’ve been hankering for ever since you discovered it in Laos nearly 3 years ago. Ciku ice blended! :)

A relaxing day is treating yourself to a brand new hardcover book.

A relaxing day has me spending 1 hour just trying on clothes, and then paying RM60 for a brand new pair of pants, a dress that you can wear to someone’s wedding, and a blinged up top. Now that’s what I call a deal!

(Off topic: this is what I spent my Kitschen vouchers on. By the way, Cleo magazine’s feature writer also wrote to us Kitschen winners to say that we could participate in a game during the Most Eligible Bachelor’s party. What we do is, we bring the stuff we bought using our vouchers over to their outfit to be styled, and then on the party night itself, we will all walk out wearing the stuff, and then the bachelors have to remember what we were wearing. Anyway, I’m not taking part because I’m going to be in Penang. ;) But when I was shopping, I saw some familiar faces from the speed dating event also shopping for new clothes! And they were very SERIOUSBIZNES about it. Heheheh!)

A relaxing day is spending the rest of the afternoon reading The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest while nursing an awesome mocha frappucino in Starbucks. :)

A relaxing day is one where you spend the rest of the night catching up with an old cell mate, the one that you miss the mostest… over ikan penyet (fried, smashed catfish) in Sunway Mentari. And discovering that this is one “sister” who will really help you in your spiritual growth and is someone who can lean on and really understands you. =)

A relaxing day is when you get home after your outing with your friend, and find out that you won RM150 worth of Hada Labo stuff… just when there’s only 25ml left in your current bottle of Hada Labo moisturiser. :) Thanks Cleo! ;)

A relaxing day means spending an hour with the family watching the dai kit kook (finale) of A Fistful of Stances and cheering madly when the villain of the show is finally, finally defeated. And of course, getting to ogle at Kenneth Ma. ;)

A relaxing day is having a road trip planned at the end of the week, and knowing that you will be spending a blissful few days away from the headache and heartache of today.

Therefore, I had a mightily relaxing day yesterday. :)
