Completely Random Bits Of My Life

Pictures Update! May 22, 2012

All the photos from my phone! Ah, so easy to blog nowadays, just need to post photos! :P Have one or two funny topics to write about, but I’m way too tired to write something filled with sparkling wit. So I’ll just post pics like a twit…~

My colleague gave this to me… they are planning to make me fat, I tell you! :( Now I have a hankering for Kit Kat!

Dinner at Pizza Uno with Tron. We had TWO pizzas and an aglio olio … damn piggish!

I thought this drawing was so obvious, but Ching couldn’t guess it til the very end! :P

Dinner with my father-in-grace (I like this term!) at Tony Roma’s! :D

Vain, vain, vain.

Usual suspects @ Din Tai Fung.

Cute chicken.. Louis To Cool, hahaha.

Free stuff from Empire Shopping Gallery!

Free stuff from Hartamas Petronas, so random!

On the way to a family dinner organised by Tron’s mom to celebrate the ROM… was so nervous, meeting all his relatives at once! *gulp!*

Vain, vain, vain pt 2

Checked out a new restaurant for dim sum mornings. :)

All the yummy stuff we had. Not much choice, but what was there was really good. :) My must have in any dim sum dig-out? Chau Lo Bak Kou!

Cute tea place…

Bought a coffee machine…

Every… single… morning…

Made my usual garlic white wine mussels and ate the whole thing in a single sitting… and the first time I ever got an allergic reaction! Looks so damn grosssssss

My first month of using iphone… and how much 3G service I used. I thought 1GB won’t be enough, but it’s more than enough!

Dessert at the end of a celebration meal.

Thanks to HSBC. Tron and I already used RM30 worth. :D

Vain, vain, vain pt 3.

Burger at the church, cooked by one of Tron’s friends!

Tron’s new favorite shop.

Burger again!! My first time at Ninja Joe… not bad!

Guess what this is?

Carrot cake at Delicious. :)

Happy Days May 15, 2012

Home-cooked food for a difference. Have not been cooking for a while, but I’m looking to experiment more in the future! I’ve even downloaded a lot of recipe apps onto my phone. :)

Okay, so we cheated on the mango peppercorn herrings… next time there won’t be any cheating. ;) By the way, the herrings were the best part of the meal. -_____-”

Tron took me to this lovely little restaurant near my workplace. It’s super quaint, serves really good tea and the staff are nice and attentive. The food is good but not great, but makes up for it for it’s affordability and the portions. Feel like going back there again just for tea and cakes. :) The person who introduced this place to Tron? Our pastor! It’s called The Teapot Cafe, look it up. :P

My sister invited us out for dinner at Manhattan Fish Market… but my brother wound up paying! Heehee! We ordered a set meal, but there was way too much food. About 4 different rice sets and there were side dishes of salads and soups as well! I always worry that there’s not enough food to go around when we are ordering, and this tends to cause us to have too much in the end. I need to start “thinking like a slim person”. :(

MORE pictures of darling baby Ben! :)

MORE food pictures of all the nice places that Tron took me to. This one was at a restaurant in 1U – forgot the name, but Tron thought they had his fave pork mayo donburi there. Sadly for him, the quality had dropped. I enjoyed my sashimi + tempura set though! ;)

And this is when we ate at Sugimoto. Still one of my most fave Japanese restaurant around. :) )

This is the Thai place we ate at in 3 Two Square, Jaya One. Not really good, I still prefer Erawan. The Thai ice tea doesn’t even taste like the tea I drink when I’m actually in Thailand and it has wayyyyyyy too much coloring! :X

Cute souvenirs from Fuzzy…

… and my birthday present from Kim. It was so timely, I was just about to buy myself a clutch from Tangs.

Pictures from the Haikara outing with Sookie, Ching and his girlfriend. :) Haikara is really near my house, but I’ve never been there before. Interested to go there again to try their coffee and this GIANT STUFFED SQUID set that looks awesome! I wanted to try it so badly when I was there with them but I chickened out because it’s stuffed with rice and I was going on a no carb thing at that moment. Ah, me and my 1-week fad diets… now I regret not having desserts with them either. IT WAS SO HARD TO RESIST… but looking at all these pretty pictures fill me with regret!

Lastly, something sweet to end this entry — kiwi jelly cake at our church cafe. :)

I just noticed that Tron has the same shirt in all the pictures with him in it! Obviously his wardrobe is not as extensive as mine…

Project 365? May 6, 2012

My friends are all embarking on the project 365 thingy, whereby you take a photo a day to show what you’ve been up to. Well, it is very easy for me to participate now that I have an iPhone (I always sound like I’m bragging, but please take it more as me being very excited!). However, I don’t use Instagram (though I have the app), my Twitter isn’t public and I don’t feel like cluttering one post a day on my blog! Instead, I prefer to compile all the weird / nice / happy photos and post it all in one go. Like now. :)

Woke up early on a Saturday to go for RPM. Thought I had an appointment with Sookie, but she ffk me in the end, hahaha. (I had been ffk-ing her before this, so the one time I could make it she wasn’t around!)

Pic in the J33 changing room after cycling outside the RPM studio (I wound up too late to go in anyway) cos I thought Sookie was inside, so I wanted to catch her when she walks out. Hahahaha…

Driving to Haikara to meet Sookie, Ching and his gf. Pictures another day! :)

So pretty the Haikara coffee after I poured in the milk. I think this is the charcoal coffee, the “must try” at this restaurant.

But after mixed up already, it looks like nothing next to Sookie’s green tea with vanilla ice-cream. :D

Always have to have coffee before church. This Pokka vanila milk coffee isn’t too bad. :)

Was very early in church! :)

On the way to SS2 mall. :)

My favorite new drink in Chatime is the roasted milk tea with grass jelly. Yay for grass jelly, I no longer like the pearls which make me feel too full anyway.

Warehouse prices for stuff like Billabong, Levis, etc… but too bad most of the stuff aren’t a good fit. I have to keep telling myself that I don’t *have* to buy something just because it’s RM30.

You won’t even believe where this place is…!! It’s in a DIY store, like ACE Hardware, but it’s called “Mr DIY”. Got so many stuff here for theme dressing. Last time I spent so much time making “wings” for my costumes cos it’s expensive to buy from costume shops. But Mr DIY sells stuff for like RM5-RM10. Worth it !!!

Some really silly hair decoration stuff…

This headpiece is actually for kids la… but this adult wanna act cute and camwhore with it too.. tsk tsk!

Scrunchies galore!

Then Tron “potong stim” and told me to stop wandering around Mr DIY and help him select stainless steel bowls instead. Tsk!

See? Even got a pretty floral background to camwhore with in Mr DIY… hahaha. Ace Hardware, I think I won’t visit you as much anymore. :P

Finally got to try Marutama!!  It’s so yummy, but it’s quite pricey. RM30 for a bowl of ramen!

This is the specialty of Marutama ramen — the funny hard boiled egg with the runny middle! :) Very very goooood. :)

Indulging in Magnum in the office. I started eating this after I saw my vendor digging into one. Hahahha… it’s only RM3.90 but it’s like a little indulgence every other week for me. :P Ok, I need to stop complaining about gaining weight if I keep doing this. :P

Experimenting with my new camera filters… yes, this is the horrible place where I have to park my car! Ok, this is not the horrible part. I will show you the horrible parts another day.

Messy dressing table!! Okie, I promise that I cleaned up right after I took this photo.

More act-cute camera decor apps from iPhone. Hehehe.

Hahaha, Tron said that this filter is like Lee Hom in the “Ni Bu Zhai” video… lol.

At 3 Two Square, some Thai restaurant here. Again… pics later. :P This is just pics from my iphone!

Yummy yummy sashimi don from Sugimoto. Oh my, looking at this picture makes me want another bowl!

Aiyoyoyoyyyoyyoy.. so cute la my nephew!!!

Took this photo of my church’s cafeteria to show my mom. So pretty right, the church? Those orange tulips are a recent addition. Anyone looking for a church, do contact me to show you around this place. :) [RLC, PJ]

Prawn noodle after church!

Trying to get more mileage from my neon pink earrings from Diva.. hahaha.

In “Atrium”… where I had…

Tough-ass ayam penget rice set…

Both Dull and I have bottle openers as keychains… for our car keys!! But I’m innocent cos the keychain was a gift from Fuzzy (who also engraved my name there), but Dull actually uses her keychain cos “need something to open them beers after driving around and grabbing some bottles from 7-11″. WTF.

Found an old Christmas present I had wrapped up (for old church cell group members). I still remember that this is for Alan — he didn’t come to church on Christmas and subsequent cell groups so I wound up keeping it. Hahaha.

This is what is inside the package. And yes, I ate it. :P

More filters! :) I like this drawing filter. :)

Another wonky filter… hahaha. But I love it!! See how straight my teeth are??? With no braces… Muwahahha. At least I can save money on ONE aspect of my physical appearance. :P

Had Chinese food when I met up with Dull. =) Was an awesome catch-up session. Think I need to meet her once a week!

Yes! I am so addicted to “Draw Something” at the moment! I’ve already bought 3 palettes and counting! :) I thought I drew this pic awesomely but obviously my brother has trouble guessing…. can you guess what it is?

Won this from Female magazine! :) I only used it at my ROM, and then I gave it to my mom. Hahahaha…

This is Tron’s drawing! He also got very excited when I showed him what is “Draw Something”. Can you guess what he is trying to draw? All my friends are fed up when they know that Tron is the one behind the drawing, cos they will end up messaging me to tell me they don’t know what is he drawing. Hahahahaha!!!

Dim sum at J33 “Oriental Pavilion” after church. I had dim sum again today! Man, I’m so blessed.

Ok, very vain, but couldn’t decide which one is the nicest. :P

For LY’s Birthday This Year… May 1, 2012

Happy Labour’s Day! Thank you for your thoughts and wishes, so far my phase 2 implementation has gone by a lot smoother than the first round! Being in UVW Bank really taught me a lot of stuff, but too bad I’m too stingy to share with my ex-colleagues, trololololol. I will talk more about what happened when it’s actually been rolled out for at least 2 weeks. Don’t wanna jinx myself!

Anyway, I’m in the mood for posting up old pictures, so here’s pics from my sister’s birthday celebration earlier this year. We went to Serai in Empire Gallery for dinner and I bought her an ice-cream cake. I thought that it was something unique and different, but sadly, it didn’t last quite long in my fridge. By the time LY hacked the cake open, it was getting quite gooey. *sad* I always seem to mess up her birthday cakes. Another unique thing that happened during the birthday celebration was when we took turns carrying Ben (my nephew in case you don’t know) so that another person gets to eat. For some reason, Ben was sooooo antsy that day and he kept crying and couldn’t be pacified. His cries were so loud that other patrons were starting to give us the evil eye. Kris said to me, “LeeCh! You are such a bad mother. You better bring the baby out of the restaurant.” WTF! Kris is the bad father lar! :P

Our drinks at Serai.

ALL THE FOOD WE HAD! We had mainly Asian set meals, though they do serve Western cuisine as well (that’s my brother’s pasta up there). I just felt that their forte lies in the “nasi” sets. Very worth the price you are paying for as it is guarantee to more than satisfy you. A very filling meal indeed.

LY’s ice cream cake from Baker’s Cottage. I actually got the idea from my colleagues who bought an ice-cream cake for another colleague’s birthday celebration.

Birthday girl and her naughty son! Don’t wan to look at the camera, tsk tsk.

Father and son. (Again don’t want to layan the camera… hmph!)

My happy sister, LY. Look at ben’s serious business face! HAhahahahahahaHAHAAHa!!

Obligatory photos of Ben for his fans on my blog. ^^
