I have ranted-out for the rest of the day, and since Thanksgiving was just a few days ago, I will write what I *am* thankful about instead of flooding all my writing outlets with more and more disgruntlement. With no further ado, here’s a very short post (to lessen the bullshit), and more photos:
a. I AM THANKFUL I GOT FIRST CLASS HONOURS ON MY OWN EFFORT and I am not like those who needed the lecturers to boost up their meagre marks to make the 70+ prerequisite of getting first class honours.
b. I AM THANKFUL FOR FAMILY WHO ATTENDED MY GRADUATION CEREMONY. Even if it’s so that they can get a studio photo done of the family. At least they showed up, I appreciate the thought even if I don’t really mind if they didn’t. I would save
c. I AM THANKFUL FOR FRIENDS THAT I HAVE WHO MADE THE CEREMONY FUN. And I’m thankful for new found friends who I had petty things against back in college, and I’m glad we could both talk / bitch normally with each other.
d. I AM THANKFUL FOR RM45 bouquet of sunflowers that my parents got me. It’s small, it’s cheap. But it ws better and less ostentatious than the other grand bouquets and fluffy teddy bears that other students got. It’s ok… I don’t deserve that much anyway.
e. I AM THANKFUL FOR SIBLINGS who cheered and clapped for me whilst I received my award folder (???)
f. I AM THANKFUL FOR THE angpow my grandma gave me. It more than paid for her share of the ticket. Muwahahha. I suck as a granddaughter.

Six items! I think I more than outdid myself. =)

Prepared my make-up arsenal the night before. No wonder I was nervous. I hate using foundation, by the way.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My make-up spread / guide. It’s not that I love Jennifer Love-Hewitt, mind…

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The result… ok, not at all like the make up guide, but it’s good enough. Although I was a bit too ‘white’ because of the foundation. Look a bit like ‘memoirs of a geisha’.

Me and my paternal grandmother. =)

Parents + paternal gradmother + me

The sunflowers that my parents got me

Me and Privitha Woo hoo! =)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Me and Kim (as you can see, I should’ve been the star of Sepet

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Edy and I. He’s the one who shows up to Durga’s class drunk, just cos he doesn’t want to pay me RM10 for skipping class (to stop ourselves from skivving classes, we created this ‘pact’). As you can see from the way he wears his mortar board… he’s still not quite sober yet. ;)

Kim and Privitha!

Stupid story behind this picture. My lecturer was like not knowing how to use my camera, so I was saying, “Aiyah sir, I teach you la“, then he freaking snapped this picture. Then flittered away before we could ask him to take another. Asides, he insisted that this one was nice and ‘impromptu’. O_o”

Blurry photo of Herty and I, also courtesy of my brother. =)

Me and Edy… were sitting right in the front! Keke! Awesomeness!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Me and Kim… my gown looks too big for me right? I mean, I know it’s supposed to be big and all. But I was VERY uncomfortable and hence, disliked taking photos wearing it. BLUEK. I returned it ASAMFP.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The ‘wonderful’ food that they served us. ‘Delicious’. Makes you thirsty like mad.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My makeup lasted almost the whole day! But the foundation did not…

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
THIS IS WHAT I GOT FOR ALL MY EFFORTS. A FREAKING FOLDER TO PUT MY CERT IN. WHERE IS MY CERT? UNDER MY BED. Well, since I paid xxx amount for this event, might as well get as much cam ho pictures with it as possible. At least imprint a “First Class Honours” on the cover ? No?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I really like the sunflower / lavender bouquet. Smells awful though. But looks great!

I didn’t get too many pictures cos my camera was with my brother most of the time, plus they looked bored out of their minds, so I guess we should go back ASAP. Plus, I returned my gown super duper fast… HAhahaha. Do I regret not taking more photos? NOOOOO. I hate my gown!! Look kanasai in it! =0)

So today was my off day, and I woke up gloriously late. Was supposed to do about a 100 things during the time which I spent snoozing. =\ Got up, managed to wrap up the packages that I’ll be mailing out, clean up a bit of my car, and then I was off to fetch Kim and Edy to collect our graduation gowns at Sunway University College. Of course, we had lunch together first in good old ‘Pink Shop’.

My god, I’m such a pig. I was almost planning to have ALL their famous stuff – the nasi lemak ayam, the roasted chicken rice, the spagghetti bolognoise… ended up settling on my favourite baked cheese macaroni with white sauce. Shit, I’m drooling thinking about it now…

Went back to college and met most of our mates. You know the saying, “if I can’t be thin, please make everyone else around me fat?” Well too bad for me — all my college mates seemed to have maintained their weight, or even lost more weight. AND THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO WERE ALREADY DAMMNNNNN THIN TO START WITH. Well, at least today no one told me that I had gained weight. Even Edy who claimed that he has become 70kg already still looks the same. I was almost drooling waiting to see his fat ass so I could make fun of him (since last time he was back, he greeted me with a “Cheng, you’ve gotten fat!”). In the end, he looks the same only… either that or he was wearing a corset underneath his shirt. So potong stim.

Well, got our graduation gowns and mortar boards, paid for the photography session (it costs an arm and a leg) and had to sit through some briefing about how we were to behave this Saturday. I kept hearing people whispering about how they are “finally going to graduate”. Lol… don’t have to be so dramatic… we got our certs ages ago. Does attending this ceremony only really ‘certify’ you as a graduate? His kind of thinking is the same as my paternal grandmother’s. =__=” Ooh, and we met Chi Yung too (famous for the RM10 for 3 modem story… lol). He was one of the few people who are graduating this round from Napier Uni. CongratsZ!

Some camwhoring with our hat + gown :

I saw the newest issue of ECHO magazine out! Didn’t get a chance to go through it thoroughly, but looks good, no?

Edy with sotong mouth. Muwahhaha. That’s what you get for telling me you got fat, but didn’t. =p

Me & Me again… with hat… and trying on the oversized gown. =)

Kim having trouble with the mortar board… but looks very yeng in the end… muwahahhaha. And her pic looks nicer than mine cos she has her white shirt underneath already… memang graduation outfit in full already. ;P

Another pic of Kim…

Kim and I…

Edy in his usual “Deer caught in headlights” look. =p

Me, obviously not paying attention to the briefing. I’ve already devoted all my attention to my classes …

Wanted to bum around with my the two kakis after that, but Edy’s parents arrived in Malaysia one day earlier than planned, so all his beer-swilling plans went down the drain. So, after dropping Kim back, I went crazy in Pyramid with my shopping. Muwahahhaa. You know me la, super cheapskate, I only shop at FOS (ok, so I do a lot of online window shopping… next month, right now my card balance is not so good). I got myself the black heels that I’ve been looking for, and omgzz… RM10 for 3 earrings are now available at Sunway Pyramid. Great selection too. I went crazy over earrings too. *ashamed*

And for what I actually purchased:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
A black pair of heels from The Shoe Connection. The assistant there was awesome. She seemed to know my fetish for “minimum 3 inches” and was telling me the heel measurement for each shoe. Lol. This one is barely 2 inches, but it’s the same as my white one, and I’m comfortable with that, so’s all good. =)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Earrings! Red cherry danglies, Silver circles and hoops, Silver stars, Black huge studs (sounds porno), feminine pink & silver and orange & silver. DEFINITELY all for now.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Free water bottles from FOS. Lol. I’m giving the blue one to my brother.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Deconstructed denim Hollister skirt. Love it! Going to trim off the frayed ends a bit. It’s soooo nice and such a good fit. =)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Front and back of my graffiti denim skirt from Abercrombie & Fitch. Very cute. Totally for Chinese New Year (going to resist temptation of wearing it before).

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Bead & Sequin Strawberry singlet from Express. Great for casual wear, or even to sleep in. =)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Hollister sweater thingy. Thin material, but good enough for movies or working Saturdays. =)

Sweet Like Candy To My Soul December 7, 2004

:: Originally posted on Completely Random ::

Ms Jane said that I was “impossibly sweet” for getting her the candy & card. She told Ben & CL! I AM IMPOSSIBLY SWEET. Haha, what a compliment! Actually, I know some people might think I’m sucking up for getting things for my referrees. But I think of it as a token of appreciation, and I don’t want to look like such a kacang melupakan kulit biatch who gets people to do things for her and then ditches them when the things are done already. No way. Anyway, if by doing something simple (like getting someone candy), you can make someone’s day better, then why not right? However, I know a lot of people who always looks into people’s “ulterior” motives when you do something nice.

Remember the tulan individual back in my college days? Well, when my programming lecturer got married last time, I bought a card and got the whole class to sign in it. And we gave him the congratulations card. The tulan individual had the nerve to say something like, “Cheh, trying to get the lecturer to give her more marks for programming. Not like it’ll help also, since she will fail anyway.” I was so aghasted when I heard that. It was so so so very bitchy. Plus, I didn’t even had that intention in me. :( I was just very happy and excited for my lecturer, who anyways probably thought along the same lines as the tulan individual (tulan individual is his fave student) and looked unhappy with the card. It also made me feel like crap because I had given the tulan individual a birthday card earlier in the year. So what, he thinks I’m trying to suck up to him as well?

Erm, sorry for the rant, but basically am happy that Ms Jane actually thinks I’m sweet and didn’t think I had any ulterior motive. ((phew. anyway, what other motives can I possibly have?)) Basically I like doing (small) nice little things for people. I don’t know why… kinda passing the buck I guess. A lot of people do impossibly sweet things for me as well. ;) I get lots of random postcards from penpals in the United States that never fail to fill me with glee. My team mates & team leader often buys small little titbits for the gang whenever they go outstation. People just randomly send me nice emails that make me feel good about myself… (Just today E sent me a mail telling me that I look like Faye Wong. Haha, I don’t think so, but still sweet right? Like I said, she didn’t have a reason to pass me a compliment, but she did. :D )

It doesn’t kill one to be nice, you know. I mean, that’s the motto that I lived by for 2004. Will try to continue it for 2005. What I don’t like is when people know that I can be quite accomodating, and they use that to try and get me to do things to their convenience. I mean, who likes feeling like a sucker, right?

Of sneaky friends, Sarawak mee and cattish behavior November 18, 2004

::Originally posted at Lil’ Fox::

The only way I can limit myself to ONE entry per day is by switching on the computer only once a day, which is no problem now that my parents are keeping an eagle eye over the usage of the aforesaid computer. Right now, I only go online for about an hour a day and it’s only for stuff like tutorials, e-mail and ICQ. Oh my god, I think I can stay online for 4 hours using ICQ only!! Especially when my good friends come online. Like last night, for example. When my mom was asleep and my dad was downstairs watching Lethal Weapon 4, I sneaked online and I saw Kim and Eugene online. Kim left a short while after, but Eugene was downloading some songs, so I got to talk to him for a while. And I was trying to con him into staying online longer than he could, by simply recommending songs for him to download. Heh. Of course, he ended listening to his parents, not my “no, no, download Gorillaz’s “19-2000″! Dayum cool!!”

Went to lunch at Ming Thien. I hate Sarawak mee!! No offense to people who like it (like my sister), but it was so tasteless!! Scratch that – it had taste. It tasted like oil!!! *blueekk* And the soup that came with it tasted like soya sauce. Daym not nice. I was hankering for my brother’s Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun!! But I couldn’t eat anymore! That stupid Sarawak mee – they gave so much mee, and so little “char siew”… yeesh.

My grandma pets me as if I were a cat. Meow. :)

A friend called me up today to tell me about some bad stuff that has happened to her… I really hate one of her friends. I really think she’s such a sneaky, no-good creep! But I hate her friend “R” even more! He is such a two-timing jerk, that the more I think about him, the more I feel like meeting him so I could gore his eyes out. :P That guy always does stuff that upsets my friend and gets her into such a tizz that she is either shouting in anger or crying over the phone to me! Grr… what a creep. I believe he truly does deserve the moniker “Psycho” that her other friends gave to him.

My brother threw a fit in the restaurant during dinner time. Annoying brat. The last time he threw a fit, he called me a bitch EXTREMELY loudly in the middle of the restaurant. I wasn’t shocked, but when everyone in the restaurant turned to look at my brother and I, I found it so funny that I started laughing like a lunatic. I’m sure everyone would think that we were children in a sad, dysfunctional family. :)

Yeah, I told Eugene about my Nike watch, and this was the following ensueing conversation:

“lend me to wear it also-ler…ok??? hehehe…”
“yeah right. if i lend it to you, you’ll prolly give it to “the girl who you don’t want to misunderstand”, and then i can say bye bye to my watch”
“i won’t-ler”
“this is the 3rd item I won for this month. hehehehe…. i lurve my nike triax watch!!!!!!!!!! i “han” for a watch since may when my original watch rosak….. and now I’ve gotten an RM259 one!!!! *yay*”
“since u got lot’s of luck, next time can u help me win some things???”
“i helped u in the Tone contests what… u no luck only… besides, help you win for waht?? you’ll only give the prizes to “the girl you don’t want to misunderstand”. >:P”
